Choose your housing type:

The answer to this question depends on what type of tenant or owner you are.

If you need a bigger home for your family, you can apply to move to a different A2Dominion home through HomeHunt.

HomeHunt allows registered customers to view available A2Dominion homes and bid for them. It is a national website for affordable and social housing, with thousands of homes advertised each year by social landlords across the UK.

Visit the Homehunt website to register and get started. If you have any queries relating to HomeHunt, please contact the Central Lettings team for assistance.

You are usually entitled to 1 bedroom for:

  • Each couple
  • Each single person over 16
  • Every 2 children under 10
  • Every 2 children of the same sex under 16

Once a child is over 10, they are only expected to share with another child of the same sex until the eldest becomes 16.

Please note that social housing is in high demand and is allocated to the person or family in the most need. This makes the process fair but it also means it could take some time to be allocated a property.

You can also exchange homes with other social housing tenants through HomeSwapper.
