When you move out of your rented home you need to remove all your personal possessions, leave everything clean and tidy and return all keys and fobs to us.
Before moving out, most of our tenancy agreements require you to:
- Arrange a visit from our maintenance team to check the property*
- Take meter readings for your gas, water and electricity and tell your suppliers you're moving out*
- Tell your telephone or internet company you're moving out*
- Give us your forwarding address
To avoid any extra charges you need to:
- Return your door and window keys, fobs, parking permits, meter cupboard keys and gas/electric payment cards to us
- Remove any of your furniture, personal possessions, carpets and rubbish
- Repair any damage you may have caused (Check what repairs you're responsible for)
- Leave the property clean and fit to rent to new tenants
- Make sure your rent is all paid
We'll tell you where to leave the keys in our letter confirming your moving out date. You will usually have to drop keys off at your nearest A2Dominion office. If you are leaving our student accommodation, return your key and any access fobs to your A2Dominion accommodation office. And for supported housing, keys will usually be handed to the Housing Manager or staff on site.

Your tenancy will not end until all keys have been returned to us.
